BECOME A MEMBER 

To become a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church, you must:

Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. 

Attend New Members Orientation Training 

Be baptized ( if you have not previously been baptized) 

Receive the Right Hand of Fellowship

Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church is committed to winning souls for Christ.

Membership at the Immanuel  Baptist Church begins with accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. We believe strongly in the Letter to the Romans which says "That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (10:9).

In order to obtain full membership to the Immanuel  Baptist Church, you must complete the following steps:

1. Publicly join our congregation during Sunday Morning Worship at 9:30 AM. This public acknowledgment can be confirmed through Baptism, Christian Experience or by Letter of Transfer.

2. New Member Classes. Membership at the Immanuel  Baptist Church begins with accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. We believe strongly in the Letter to the Romans which says “That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (10:9). Once a person has accepted Jesus Christ, the next step is to complete the four required New Member Orientation classes. The classes are offered every 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sunday in the Deacons’ Room at 8:30 A.M. as follows:

1st Sunday Lesson   I  – Baptist History and Conventions
2nd Sunday Lesson II – What We Believe
3rd Sunday Lesson III – Stewardship - Mission of the Church and Stewardship
4th Sunday Lesson IV – A Survey of the Bible

3. Baptism. Experienced the blessed worship service of Baptism if you are a new Christian believer or have not been previously baptized. The Baptismal Services are held every 2nd Sunday of the month during Sunday morning worship service.

4. Right Hand of Fellowship. Receive the Right Hand of Fellowship. After you have completed all four New Member’s Classes and been baptized (new believers only), you are eligible to receive the “right hand of fellowship” which is extended every Sunday of the month during our 9:30 a.m. worship service.
