We endeavor to carry out this mission by greeting students on college campuses as

they start the school year.  We want to participate in orientations, club fairs, dormitory meetings and any other appropriate gatherings.

 

Our intent is to assure parents that, as they leave their students on campus, we will be there to provide a liaison for the students and the community by offering assistance

in several areas.  We will offer assistance in navigating the city, providing rides to and

from church; generally offer assistance in meeting some of the needs of the student,

and of course offer the occasional home cooked meal.

 

We offer a Church Home away from home!  We are also planning activities that will appeal to the student.  Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church is a pioneer in AIDS outreach and offers the community a variety of services including a Soup Kitchen on Sunday, as well as a Clothes Closet on Thursdays.  Through these ministries, the students are given an opportunity to participate in community service activities.
